Dr. Suryakant V. Lasune
SECRETARY
(M.COM., M. PHIL, MBA, PGDFM,PHD)
It is my pleasure to represent Dnyanvikas Nivasi Apang Vidyalaya, run by Shri Anantpal Shikshan Sanstha, Udgir.
Our school empowers children with disabilities to live with confidence and dignity.
Together, let us build an inclusive future.
Shri Anantpal Education Society was established in Udgir in the year 1990through the joint efforts and shared vision of Dr. Suryakant Lasune and his friends Mr. Mahadev Khatal, Mr. Ashok Swami, and Mr. Trimbak Kendre. The main objective of the institution was to empower and educate differently-abled (divyang) students. With this goal in mind, in 1992, the institution began the Dnyanvikas Residential School for the Disabled.
Initially, the school was started in Lohara, Taluka Udgir, District Latur. On 15th August 1992, the school was inaugurated at the hands of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Hon. Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh.
In the beginning, 20 students were admitted to the school. Within two years, the number of differently-abled students admitted rose to 60. In 1994, the school received official recognition from the Government of Maharashtra, and from 1996onwards, it began receiving government grants. Initially, the government granted recognition and funding for 25 residential students.
In the year 1999, the school received a formal license (Anugnyapti). Considering the increasing number of students, the institution submitted a proposal to the government for approval of additional student intake. In 2000, the government granted approval for 35additional students.
In 1997, the Dnyanvikas Residential School for the Disabled was relocated from Lohara to Udgir. The Honorable Commissioner of Disability Welfare, Government of Maharashtra, renewed the school’s license up to the year 2027.
In its early days, the school operated with limited resources, but an abundance of care and determination. Over time, thanks to the dedication of our staff, the trust of parents, and support from the community, the school expanded its facilities and programs.
Today, our school serves children with a wide range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, hearing and speech impairments, and physical challenges. We offer not just academic instruction, but also vocational training, therapy services, life skills education, and opportunities for creative expression and social integration.
Throughout our journey, we have stayed true to our mission: to empower children with disabilities to live with dignity, confidence, and independence. With each passing year, we continue to grow—guided by compassion, inclusion, and the unwavering belief in the potential of every child.

It gives me immense pleasure and pride to speak about Dnyanvikas Nivasi Apang Vidyalaya, run by shri Ananatpal Shikshan Sanstha, Udgir as the Secretary of this esteemed institution. Today is a moment of reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment towards our shared vision of education.
Our vision is to educate, to develop personality and to create an inclusive society where children with disabilities are empowered to realize their full potential, live with dignity and actively participate in all aspects of life.
Initially, the government granted recognition and funding for 25 residential students.
In the year 1999, the school received a formal license (Anugnyapti). Considering the increasing number of students, the Institution submitted a proposal to the government for approval of additional student intake. In 2000, the government granted approval for 35 additional students.
Our school was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to nurture young minds and prepare them to meet the challenges of tomorrow with confidence, knowledge and integrity. Over the years, we have grown not only in numbers but in values, achievements and aspirations.
We take pride in the academic excellence our students consistently demonstrate. But more importantly, we celebrate the holistic development that our school encourages—where equal importance is given to character, creativity, leadership and compassion.
This growth would not have been possible without the dedication of our teaching staff. Their hard work and passion make our school a place where learning is joyful and purposeful. I would also like to thank the parents for their constant support and trust in our vision.
To our dear students: You are the heart of this school. Always remember, education is not just about books and exams. It’s about becoming responsible individuals who can contribute positively to society. Believe in yourself, strive for excellence, and never stop learning.
Let us continue to work together to create an environment where every child feels valued, safe and inspired to reach their full potential.
If you're unsure about what type of training will work best for you, just tell us a little more about your needs. We will get back to you as soon as possible with the answers you need!
